Desktop Virtualization
Besides servers also desktop systems can be virtualised. The desktop system is installed on a server of a data processing centre and the user has access to the virtual desktop via a presentation software. It is objective to have nearly the same performance as if the desktop system is used directly. Personalisation will be achieved by a profile management solution. If the user finishes his work on the desktop all settings are fixed. .
